Acknowledgement of National Police Week May 12-18. This week is designated by former President John F. Kennedy to remember and honor law enforcement officers fallen in the line of duty. ACC recognizes their ultimate sacrifice and that of the family members of all including 319 officers fallen in Washington State.

Seattle City Attorney Ann Davison: Overview presentation + discussion on “Belltown Hellcat“ Noise Ordinance Enforcement case. Many neighbors have asked about traffic cameras for speed and noise enforcement. This high-profile case has grabbed a lot of media attention. What could it mean for Alki? The City Attorney filed a civil suit last week following criminal charges. 10-minute presentation followed by Q & A.

Seattle CARE Acting Chief Amy Smith: Overview of behavioral health responders program launched in downtown Seattle. Discussion on plans for Southwest and what to do now for people in need.  


7:45pm If a natural disaster strikes? Did you know about our Alki HUB? What is a HUB? Tony Fragada, the Alki HUB Captain invites you to an open public drill of the Emergency Planning HUB. See how Ham radio operators support the community in emergencies especially when cell towers are often down.


8:00pm SAVE THE DATE: VP Lindsey Pearsall updates you on exciting  developments for our first Alki Community Day at Whale Tail Park in June. See opportunities to support the neighborhood with food, music, information booths on neighborhood activities and kids fun.
